You are the way to knowing others
you who are the end of a mystery
asked long ago, left unsolved by
someone vexed by your symbols
who died never finding out why.
It was in the corner of his mind
even as he was closing his eyes he
wanted to know in some small way
still, and here I’ve stumbled on you
without even needing the question.

Aww, I love it! It reminds me of this quote from “The History of Love” by Nicole Krauss: “Once upon a time there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering.”

Thanks Gabriela! That’s a beautiful quote. I just looked up that book, and I’ve put it on my list. It sounds like a great read.
