When you get finished
with what you thought
you should be doing
whatever that is
you come back
to yourself. And
Oh! how things
have changed.
Suddenly
every true thing
is a description
of the world.

Don’t get most of your poetry, but liked this one. Simpler, more direct and therefore in my uninformed opinion, more expressive.

Thanks James. I appreciate the comments. I’ve been trying to write shorter stuff lately, so I’m glad it’s working
